Fishing Moles was founded in 2025 by a father and son from Edson, Alberta, with a shared passion for fly fishing and guiding others into the heart of nature. My dad taught me how to fly fish when I was young. Over the years, we've explored countless fishing spots, hiked beautiful trails, and biked through stunning landscapes, always seeking new adventures.
We created Fishing Moles as a fly fishing guiding business because we want to share our love for the sport with others. Whether you're a seasoned angler or just starting out, we offer guided trips that take you to the best fishing locations within Alberta, teaching you the techniques and skills to make the most of your experience.

Born and raised in Edson, Alberta. Growing up surrounded by the outdoors, I developed a deep passion for fly fishing from a young age. Along with fly fishing, I’m an avid mountain biker and cross-country skier, always seeking new adventures in nature. As a teacher, I’ve honed my ability to guide and connect with others, and now I’m excited to combine my skills and passion by starting my own fly fishing guiding company. I look forward to sharing my love for the sport and the great outdoors with you.
Shawn Mole
Shawn Mole
Born and raised in Edson, Alberta. I’ve spent my life in the outdoors, developing a deep passion for fly fishing, which I’ve been practicing for many years. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching my sons the art of fly fishing, and together we’ve shared countless adventures. Beyond fishing, I’m an avid mountain biker and have participated in the MS Bike Tour for multiple years in a row. I also love fat biking and backpack hiking, always seeking new ways to explore the wilderness.
